Description
This cent is named after the engraver Robert Birch who designed proposed American coins. He cut the dies for the larger copper patterns today known as the Birch cents. Extremely rare.
Obverse: “LIBERTY PARENT OF SCIENCE AND INDUSTRY”, Bust of Liberty with BIRCH on shoulder. 1792 under bust.
Reverse: “ONE CENT” between two decorative sprigs surrounded by a beaded circle. Beyond that is a large wreath bordered by the words “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.” At the bottom 1/100.

Packaged in a coin collecting flip with the description of coin printed on flip insert.
